Bruna is a 1st-year PhD Student in our research group. Is supervised by Ricardo Henriques and Pedro Matos Pereira.

Bruna is a PhD student working in partnership between the Intracellular Microbial Infection Biology (IMIB) lab, the AI-driven Optical Biology (AIOBio) lab, and the Citizen + Science Programme. She has a strong interest in microbial genetics and cell biology. Beyond the traditional laboratory, she is passionate about making science accessible and engaging through citizen science, helping to reduce the gap between researchers, society, and policymakers. She has worked as a project manager in citizen science initiatives, particularly MicroMundo@Oeiras.
