Pedro Matos Pereira is a group leader at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB NOVA), Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of intracellular bacterial infections. His lab uses a combination of cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics and advanced microscopy techniques to study the molecular mechanisms of intracellular bacterial infections.
