Technology

Our laboratory's research integrates cell biology, optical physics, and biochemistry to address biological problems that current imaging technology cannot solve. To achieve this, we develop novel fluorescent probes, high-speed cell-friendly super-resolution methods, and computational modeling approaches. These tools, designed to answer specific questions within our lab, also have widespread applications in cell biology research. Beyond technology development, our lab also applies these cutting-edge techniques to investigate various biological phenomena. For instance, we study how viruses enter cells by probing and remodeling membranes, as well as the structural changes viruses undergo during cell-entry, uncoating, and morphogenesis.
